Down as a filler for clothing, especially for down jackets has several advantages that make it a popular choice:

Care
  • If the jacket has detachable fur, remove it before washing and care for it separately: shake out and comb, never wash.
  • Wash on a delicate or down cycle at 30°C with a special down detergent, zips fastened, inside out. Add 2-3 tennis balls so the down does not clump.
  • Rinse thoroughly and use a low spin.
  • Dry completely, fluffing the jacket every few hours, or tumble dry on low with tennis balls if the label allows. Never store it damp.
  • Do not dry on a radiator and do not iron.
  • Natural fur trim that cannot be detached - professional cleaning only.
